The movie narrates the story of a few families coming together after the Iraq-imposed war on Iran and a lost love is found.
Written by Mostafa Rastegari, ‘Fish Lake’ is to premiere at the non-competition section of Fajr Film Festival.
Nader Fallah, Setareh Eskandari, Laleh Eskandari, Roham Tadrisi, Hadiseh Tehrani, Hossein Basheh Ahangar, Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Ali Dehkordi and Afshin Hashemi star in the movie.
Fajr Festivals are held annually in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn), which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.
Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The screening sessions will last for 8 days from February 2 until February 9.
